50 Party Words: Multilingual Survival Kit

This album of digital flashcards will help you learn the words you absolutely need at an international party. Knowing these 50 words will enable you to at least minimally understand your companion and take part in a very simple conversation. Throw in a few hand movements and all of a sudden you’re having a great time! This can help you avoid awkward interactions like:

   —    Do you speak any French?
   —    ¡Sí!

This set of the most basic words was compiled by font designer Gayaneh Bagdasaryan after a party where none of the participants spoke a language other than their native tongue.

The set includes phrases of politeness, pronouns, verbs, prepositions, indications of time, colours, quantities, evaluations, and numbers.

The album cards are sorted by category. Any of the 50 languages can be activated on either side of the card.

The pronunciation of words is carried out by the system function “text-to-speech”. You can change the contents of the cards, including overwriting the pronunciation and adding new translations while keeping the existing ones.

Learning these 50 words in 50 languages will enable you to understand the world around you just a little bit more, and have fun with an acquaintance!
